Since it’s establishment in 2006, Ecovision have been an early adopter of new technologies within the renewable energy industry as well as an innovator in its application. Ecovision won the Rushlight Ground and Air Power Award 2016, presented to the entrant who demonstrated the most significant contribution towards the commercial exploitation of geothermal power. The award recognized the Ecovision installation of a revolutionary 2MW GSHP, now providing heat to a 16 acre glasshouse greenhouse, growing plants for the horticulture sector. The innovative installation proved the true capabilities of heat pumps within commercial operations, no longer limited by size or scale.
Ecovision was nominated as a finalist for the ‘Onsite Energy Generation’ award, recognising technological innovation in a product or service delivering onsite energy generation solutions to the non-domestic market. Other finalists in the category included, The National Trust, Arbor Heat and Power and Wood Energy Solutions.
Ecovision are shortlisted for the British Renewable Energy Awards 2016 within the ‘Innovation’ category. This category looks to recognise an innovative renewable energy device or application that has achieved a major milestone. As one of the most prestigious events in the UK renewable energy industry calendar, the British Renewable Energy Awards honours and celebrates the achievements of companies and individuals who have done something amazing in renewables in the past year. This year the awards ceremony will be held at The Savoy, London on the 16th June…. wish us luck!
