By installing panels on your roof you will be generating the electricity you would normally be buying from the grid. We have estimated the saving to be in the region of 35-50% of your electricity bill. If you use appliances with high power consumption during daylight hours you will be capitalising on the amount of electricity you can produce. (Similar to using economy 7 at night)
Sell what you don’t use back to the grid.
Most households are empty during the day when the sun is at its strongest. If the power you consume is less than the power you produce then it will be sold back to the grid for around 3p/KWh. (you would also get payments from the feed in tariff.)
