Peter Randall Addresses the Cheltenham College A Level Geographers
On 9th March 2011 Ecovision's Chairman, Peter Randall addressed Cheltenham College A level Geographers and interested parents on the hot subject of renewable energy and global warming.
The talk was held in the College's Thirlstaine Long Gallery and was tailored to the Upper College’s AS and A2 level Geography syllabus.
The topics covered were the reasons for the rising demand in energy, how this is linked to industry and the transition from traditional energy sources to green renewables. The pros and cons plus the social, economic and environmental impact of switching to renewables. The fine balance between the growing population and dwindling resources and how to ensure consumption is more efficient in the future.
