£4,000,000 of Heat Pump Grants Must Go!
"Get your heat pump grant applications in quick!" is the message being given out by EcoVision's Debbie Cantley, as the Low Carbon Buildings Programme (LCBP) announces the end of its heat pump grants programme for non-profit organisations.
The grants programme comes to a close at the end of June 2009, yet there is still £4 million available to heat pump installations. In coming weeks the pot may be flung open on a first come first served basis to other micro-generation technologies; this includes the grant hungry solar PV market.
Public sector organisations (including schools, hospitals, housing associations and local authorities) and charitable bodies planning heat pump installations are being urged to submit their grant applications as soon as possible and at the very latest before the end of June 2009.
The heat pump grant pot currently stands at a hefty £4 million and successful applicants are likely to receive the full 50% grant towards the cost of the heat pump installation.
"The end of June is not far away and this is an enormous opportunity for public sector and community organisations. This £4 million is sitting in the funding pot and crying out to come to the aid of heat pump installations nationwide." comments Debbie Cantley, EcoVision's Commercial Director "This is an occasion not to be missed."
Community based organisations can also get further heat pump grants from the Community Sustainable Energy Programme (CSEP) which is providing £8 million to community-based organisations for the installation of microgeneration technologies.
Organisations can apply for up to £50,000 or 50 per cent of the heat pump project cost (whichever is lower).
