From 1 November the FiT rate for residential installations up to 4kW will be cut, 4kW is typically a 16 panel system. It will also be cut for systems between 4kW-10kW. Commercial installs (10-50kW) also face a reduction.   The new FiT rates will apply for eligible solar PV installations from 1 November 2012 to 31 January 2013 when it will be cut again. Those systems installed before 1 November will receive the 16p rate for 20 years.
