COURT ROOM DRAMA!
The Court of Appeal today said that the High Court's ruling, that Decc's attempt to cut the subsidies before the end of its consultation had been unlawful, must stand. That means Decc will have to follow the contingency plan it laid before parliament last week to allow the full 43p/kWh for installations completed by 3 March.Read More

Not such a bleak mid winter
A Conference Centre in Worcestershire has just received some excellent news. When the Directors asked Ecovision to install heat pumps they were unaware that within a few months they would be eligible for payments from the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI), meaning that they would now be paid for every unit of heat they generate to heat the building.

Good news for Farmers
Good news for all farmers who would like to install renewable energy systems but need to borrow to do so. Farmers can now benefit from the FIT tariff for a solar installation and the RHI for a heating installation, creating a significant profit over up to 25 years from their land and buildings.
Barclays Bank has created a £100 million fund designed to help farmers meet the costs of renewable energy initiatives.
