Yes that's right, buy a ground source heat pump from EcoVision and if you're a not-for-profit organisation you could get grants totaling 100%. The first 50% grant is offered by the Low Carbon Buildings Programme Phase 2 (for UK applicants only). A further 50% grant is available to applicants through the Community Sustainable Energy Programme from the Big Lottery Fund (for applicants in England only). For this lottery grant you need to buy a heat pump from an installer listed on the Greenbook Live list*. EcoVision was the first company in the UK to be heat pump accredited under this scheme.
You can only get these grants if your products are purchased through certified installers. EcoVision is currently among a very small number of installers who can offer both grants and give you a potential 100% heat pump grant.
With regard to the Low Carbon Buildings Programme Phase 2:
"The applicant will be required to source their microgeneration installations through BERR appointed Framework Suppliers"
With EcoVision as your installer, you can rest assured that our heat pump supplier - Dimplex - is one of only three BERR appointed heat pump framework suppliers. And EcoVision is an LCBP certified installer.
With regard to the Community Sustainable Energy Programme:
"The applicant will be required to source installers who are registered with the government's Microgeneration Certification scheme"
EcoVision is a Microgeneration Certification Scheme certified installer.
Phone us on 01453 861354 and we can advise you on the grants process and present you with a complete quotation.
Grants for other renewable technologies are also available.
Low Carbon Buildings Programme Phase 2: These grants are open to: Local authorities, Housing associations and trusts, Hospitals, Schools, Universities, Colleges, Libraries, Registered charities, Public Service Organisations, Environmental Trusts, Community Amateur Sports Clubs, Local community groups governed by written constitution.
Community Sustainable Energy Programme: These grants are open to: Community groups governed by a written constitution, Registered charities and trusts, Parish councils, Schools or colleges, Companies with a charitable purpose and a community focus, Mutual societies, Church based and other faith organisations.
Certified installers may only specify certified products. Both the LCBP Phase 2 and the Community Sustainable Energy Programme have their own product lists. As your chosen installer EcoVision will supply you with certified products. These products have undergone a comprehensive registration procedure requiring compliance with strict criteria and current testing standards.
In theory the Community Sustainable Energy Programme can give applicants a grant for an air source heat pump installation. However, at the time of writing no certified air source heat pump products are on this list. There is no set timeline for the introduction of air source heat pump products, but we'll let you know more as soon as we have the information.
Before applying for these grants you need to be clear about what is expected from your application. The best resources are the grant websites themselves which detail all you need to know about the process. If you’re serious about being awarded the grants then thorough use of these websites is highly recommended.
