Legislation

Legislation concerning emissions is extensive in relation to new and existing commercial, community and not-for-profit premises. Ecovision’s team is fully versed in current and pending legislative demands, and will ensure that your project is fully compliant with all requirements.

BREEAM (the BRE Environmental Assessment Method) is the leading and most widely used environmental assessment method for buildings. It sets the standard for best practice in sustainable design and has become the de facto measure used to describe a building’s environmental performance. BREEAM is tailored for each individual project (bespoke) or according to building type.

Potentially applicable too is the NCM (National Calculation Method) which was commissioned by the DCLG (Department for Communities and Local Government). This assesses a building’s energy performance according to a range of parameters. These include emission levels, construction standards/materials, insulation and air tightness.

Ecovision provides project-specific advice, and will assist in the management of the entire process of securing planning permissions and approvals if or when appropriate, as well as post-completion certification.
